Drum roll, please.
The Sisterhood has reconvened after vacations, VBS, pink eye (twice), and ruptured eardrums – to present our finished products. Did I mention that I switched 2 numbers of the address on the package headed to Oregon (of course)? Thankfully the USPS sent the box all the way back to the east coast for me to fix a digit (and give it a free second ride across the country). Sorry for the hold up, everybody. Speaking of hold ups…I tried like the dickens to come up with a clever caption for this picture, but I got nuttin’. Suggestions?
Our missing sister must have been off gathering craft supplies from the university flower beds (she paid over $4,000 a year for them) when this lovely shot was taken.
The idea of a “sisterhood” obviously began back in 1994.
(If memory serves, this was taken moments before these saints entered my name in a drawing for a couple’s skate with our class president. Sure enough – I won. Just me and David alone on the skate floor. Awkward. Thanks, ladies.)
Enough about that episode. You came for crafts, not memory lane (but if you’re simply dying to know more embarrassing stuff about us, check out Wendy’s post) . So here’s what we started with:
Here are our 4 very different outcomes!
(Who knew Vanna was part of the crafty sisterhood?)
We had a blast corresponding throughout this process. Mucho laughter. The challenge of making something out of random stuff made the project more exciting. I loved the anticipation of finally getting to see what in the world the other girls made. You can read details of how these were put together on Wendy’s lovely blog.
Didn’t their stuff turn out so cute? Now I really wish we were trading…
So, who’s up for a Sisterhood of the Traveling Crafts Autumn Edition???
We’re thinking about being more specific with the color palette/theme.
Anyone care to join us next time? What shall it be? Another wreath? Bunting? Wall art?
