Yesterday at (in)courage Ann Voskamp offered 25 practical ways to remain grounded spiritually.
Her bite-sized methods remind me that my ordinary life can become extraordinary if every moment is devoted to God.
I have a real weakness when it comes to scheduling, but I’m striving to build good habits (like more books/less social media) with ideas like Ann’s.
Do you want to spend more time devouring books with eternal value?
One reader can win two books of their choosing from my 2013 Reading List (on my menu bar above.)
To enter, simply share this giveaway on Facebook (or pin Ann’s quote to Pinterest) and leave me a comment saying which 2 books from my list you’d like if you win.
The book-lovin’ winner will be announced right here, next Friday, February 1st.
With all of this snow outside I’m ready to snuggle up with a book right now! How about you?
I’d love to hear what you’re reading!

Hi Kerry,
I have been enjoying your blog for some time now. Although time is limited as I homeschool three and now have a baby to care for, I find myself wandering over to your site (usually late at night) for encouragement and laughter. :) If I were to win your contest I would enjoy reading Give the Grace and Grace for the Good Girl. Thank you!
Isn’t it a challenge to get through course work with a little one in the house? The addition of our little guy has really pushed me towards time management solutions. =)
Don’t you find that the fatigue makes it even more vital to seek refreshment from the Word?

Hope I did this right. Entered on facebook. Loved the Ann Voskamp quote. Quite a challenge! Would love the books Love to Eat, Hate to Eat & Grace for the Good Girl. Hope your year is going well! sharon
You sure did! I bet you’ve had your fill of snow by now, but we are just lovin’ our only covering so far this year. =)
I love looking at the snow. It’s so pretty. Hate driving in it though. :)
I hope the Lord allows us some visiting time together this year. Sounds like you might get to see the new “Fro” baby. Mrs. Captain
So many good choices here, it’s hard to just pick 2! I’ve heard a lot of good about Give Them Grace, and The Hole in our Gospel looks good, too. Thanks for the suggestions!
So many of our friends have said great things about “Give Them Grace.” Elyse Fitzpatrick is one of my faves!

I pinned the quote to pinterest!! I would love to read Reclaiming Adoption (as we have an adopted daughter). I have already read several of the adoption books you are planning to read. And would also LOVE to read Give Them Grace. Funny thing is as I looked at the list…a lot of what you are reading are books I have already read or have on my list! I think we could be great friends in real life!!
I didn’t know you adopted your daughter! That is fantastic. I would really love your thoughts on the adoption post I did over at the Home Educating Family blog
That’s so neat that we’re reading similar stuff. I bet we would make great friends! =)
I always love a free book…I don’t have any on adoption, and that’s the next subject I want to invest in.
